About Iceland Rover

Icelandic Rover

Land Rover tours of the country

Dear colleagues,

I want to start by thanking you all for being a part of Íslandrover – a strong and growing Rover club that focuses on good fellowship, safe driving, and adventures in the Icelandic wilderness. The club's goal is to bring together enthusiasts of Land Rover vehicles, to foster skill and respect for the land we drive on, and to create a platform for positive and constructive fellowship.

We place a strong emphasis on safety, cooperation, and fun on every trip. Whether we're fording rivers or grilling together at the end of the day, the most important thing is that we stick together and have fun—with a smile and a friendly attitude.

Go IcelandRover – go good travels!

Motto of Iceland Rover

Island Rover – we come together to enjoy each other's company, create fun times, and explore our country in all kinds of Rovers. We drive together through mountains and wilderness, cross lakes and unpaved roads with a smile on our faces, help each other when needed, and always emphasize safety, respect, and a positive attitude. Whether we're traveling in sun, rain, or snow, it's the camaraderie, the joy of the journey, and the shared experience that matter most.

Rover trips

Arni Arnason

The trip began at Olís in Norðlingaholt, where a group of Iceland Rover members gathered and set off towards Hvolsvollur. From there, the group headed to Drumbabót, where they stopped to look around the area. The next stop was Gluggafoss in Fljótshlíð, where nature greeted the group in all its glory.

From Gluggafoss, the group drove on to Basar in Goðaland. There was a short stop in the rain before heading to a barbecue party at Völlum II.
