The Summer Festival was held this time in Djúpadal in Reykhólar Municipality on July 12-13.

Cars were trickling into the area on Friday, and people were settling into cabins, RVs, trailers, camper trucks, campers, or tents.

The weather was great the whole time, warm with occasional sun and clouds in between. On Saturday, we took the usual trip around the neighborhood, driving over Hjallaháls, into Thorskafjörður, and to Reykhólar, where we stopped at the farm Grund to see a collection of restored tractors and Land Rovers.

From there, they went to Seljanes and looked at a remarkable collection of old cars and various items. Afterwards, most people went back to the campground.

The Land Rover games were held, where competitions in the sledge throw and the dynamometer throw were held according to Boccia rules.

Next, the Land Rover grill was fired up, followed by a communal dinner in the shed in Djúpadal. After the meal, everyone chatted about all things Land Rover.

On Sunday, we packed up and most people headed home.
