Its mountain performance is outstanding, and you don't have to worry about it letting you down. I got this car new this summer (2025), a Defender 110, after having doubts that this Rover would suit my hobbies.

A test drive, however, convinced me that this was an interesting option. As was known, this car handles two people well and delivers the driver and passengers to Egilsstaðir in the east practically tireless.

The interior is designed for utility, and all cleaning is as simple as in the classic Defender. What was surprising is how capable an unmodified vehicle it is in rough terrain. The air suspension has much longer travel than its carpeted sibling and raises the vehicle high. The front and rear wheels are positioned at the very corners of the vehicle, which makes it much easier to climb steep riverbanks and tight corners.

It took a few minutes to find which drivetrain suited the conditions, but after that, it was no problem to let the car glide over the boulders in the rocky river, reminding it of its older brother, except that the softness is much greater.

This luxury vehicle is a plug-in hybrid. When towing, the electric motor can be used as an assist to help on inclines.

It turned out very well, as the Hýsið was driven 4,000 kilometers on the summer vacation, which tells the whole story about the car's excellence. Max fits perfectly in the trunk, and the Range Rover-accustomed lady is smiling from ear to ear. This is a great travel companion that combines comfort with off-road capability.
